Yummy Confections Glitter and All

This was another postcard off of Postcrossings. Isn't it pretty?

The Beauty of Licorice

This is a postcard that I saw on a wall at Postcrossing.
Licorice Allsorts have always been a family favorite. I think they are one of the prettiest candies ever. I know not everyone likes licorice but for those of us that do these are absolutely yummy.
"These confections are made of liquorice, sugar, coconut, aniseed, jelly, fruit flavoring and gelatine. They were first produced in Sheffield, England by Geo Bassett and Co. Ltd.(Now a part of Cadbury's consortium)" as written on Wikipedia.

Treats from the Angels

This beautiful display is from the blog Sonalida. This is a beautiful place to visit that is full of flowers, food, and relaxing music.
Sonalida lives in California and collects vintage tea cups and loves to visit tea rooms. Her blog has only been around since June of this year and all I can say is WOW!!
It's like visiting a tea party in the middle of the most beautiful rose garden. It brings back memories for me of my childhood in England, where my American grandparents had a beautiful rose garden that I would play in. Then there was the rose garden at the local pub where my mom worked that I would pick roses with the little girl who lived there and we would make "rose petal potions".
It has been such a treat to discover this delightful blog and I can't wait to see more. Be sure to visit Sonalida, You will be glad you did~

Bake More Adventures

These two beautiful pieces of cooking art work are from the blog
The Bake More (Mis)Adventures in Baking and Cake Decorating.
The adventurous baker that is responsible for these treats lives in New Orleans and has a blog full of treats.
I had so much fun looking through her blog that I think I may even give some of the recipes a try. I find cooking pretty intimidating but with all the great instructions and cooking in progress pictures she makes it much easier.
Check out this Yummy blog. You will be glad you did~
